The CDC says that 1 in 3 adults don’t get enough sleep. That is 33.3333333..% of adults. For optimal health and overall wellness, the American Academy of Sleep Medicine and the Sleep Research Society recommend that adults sleep at least 7 hours a night. Is that realistic in your life? Or are you like most of us who wake up numerous times, cannot always fall back to sleep, or don’t have 7 hours to spare?
One way to help support a better night’s sleep is through massage. Yes, really. We all know that it is relaxing in the moment, but studies have shown that massage therapy can improve sleep.
Massages can reduce discomfort, bring down stress levels, and minimizes symptoms associated with chronic pain. All of this ends up resulting in fewer sleep disturbances.
If you deal with inconsistent sleep patterns, give massage therapy a try. We offer a variety of massages that will make you so relaxed, you might just get some extra ZZZs.
